Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy

The STEMpower Through Art project is fully committed to ensuring the safety, dignity and wellbeing of all children and young people involved in its activities.

All partner organisations apply a shared Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy, aligned with:

• Erasmus+ Programme safeguarding requirements

• European child protection standards

• GDPR and national legislation in Greece, Türkiye and Hungary

The policy defines clear principles, roles and procedures to guarantee a safe, inclusive and respectful learning environment in all project activities — both online and in-person.

Our Child Protection Policy covers:

• Safeguarding principles and zero-tolerance to abuse

• Clear codes of conduct for educators, mentors and staff

• Procedures for identifying and reporting concerns

• Data protection and privacy (GDPR compliance)

• Inclusive and child-friendly learning environments

• Roles and responsibilities of the Child Protection Officer

All educators, mentors and staff involved in the project have completed Child Protection & Ethics Training and are required to comply fully with this policy throughout the project duration.
