Empowering Youth Through ArtArt

Uniting youth through STEM and creativity across borders

About STEMpower Art

STEMpower Through Art is an Erasmus+ Youth Participation project designed to empower young people with special needs—especially autistic youth—by combining STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with creative arts.
The project creates inclusive, accessible, and enjoyable learning spaces where participants can explore robotics, coding, digital arts, and creative expression in ways that match their needs and strengths.

Across Greece, Türkiye, and Hungary, the project supports young people in building confidence, developing social skills, making friends, collaborating with peers, and discovering new talents. Educators receive training in inclusive teaching methods, families receive support, and mentors help guide youth throughout their learning journey.

Funded by the European Union, STEMpower Through Art aims to create sustainable change by developing replicable models of inclusive STEM+Arts learning, strengthening community support networks, and amplifying the voices of young people with special needs across Europe.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create a future where every young person—regardless of special needs—has the opportunity to learn, express themselves, and thrive in STEM and the Arts.
We work to break barriers by designing activities that are accessible, creative, and engaging for all learners. Through workshops, mentoring, educator training, family involvement, and youth-led initiatives, we ensure that each participant feels safe, valued, included, and heard.

We aim to strengthen inclusive education practices, promote youth participation in decision-making, and create communities where diversity is celebrated. By merging technology with creativity, we open new pathways for learning, empowerment, friendships, and lifelong confidence.

STEM Focus

STEMpower Through Art brings young people into an exciting learning environment where STEM and creative arts meet.
Throughout the project, participants take part in hands-on workshops combining robotics, coding, 3D design, digital arts, and creative expression. Activities are adapted to different learning needs, offering step-by-step guidance, visual supports, and mentoring to ensure that every young person can participate confidently.

In each country (Greece, Türkiye, Hungary), the project delivers a series of STEM+Arts sessions that help youth develop problem-solving skills, digital literacy, creativity, and teamwork.
By blending technology with art, the project helps young people explore new interests, discover their talents, build confidence, and enjoy learning in a way that feels meaningful and accessible to them.

Youth Voice

A core pillar of the project is meaningful youth participation. Young people are not just attending activities — they help shape them.
Through structured youth-led discussions, creative reflection sessions, collaborative project design, and peer-to-peer feedback moments, participants learn to express their ideas, share their experiences, and take an active role in decision-making.

The project encourages youth leadership, inviting participants to co-create workshop ideas, talk about their needs, present their work, and guide elements of the activities.
This process strengthens their communication skills, boosts self-esteem, and ensures their voices are truly heard and respected.
It also aligns with the EU Youth Goals, promoting participation, inclusion, and empowerment.

Community & Inclusion

Inclusive learning is at the heart of STEMpower Through Art.
The project brings together families, educators, psychologists, mentors, and youth workers to create a supportive network around every young participant. Through mentor training, educator workshops, child-protection guidelines, and ongoing communication with families, we ensure that each activity is safe, accessible, and adapted to individual needs.

The project also promotes awareness within the wider community by organising exhibitions, open workshops, and local events where families and educators can see the progress, creativity, and achievements of the youth.
This collaboration strengthens inclusion practices, builds trust, and creates a shared understanding of how to support young people with different learning profiles.

Ultimately, Community & Inclusion is about creating a culture where every young person feels welcomed, understood, and valued — both inside the project and in their everyday lives.
